This mini feature showcases one of the eighteen open submission portfolios selected for inclusion in our printed journal based on the theme of the right to roam

Stepping inside an area that is wild – wild as the subconscious mind. Being with the wild, the part that is the feminine, intuitive, the one that can dream without restrictions or rules.

Can I access this part of myself in this world? For some reason, it feels that our modern world doesn’t want me to enter it. In an era guided by answers and logic, tapping into the wilderness can seem daunting. Although, I feel that it’s reaching out to me and luring me to follow it.

Where does the fear of stepping into the wild, the untouched, the unknown come from? Why do we feel to protect our wild nature as it was vulnerable? Wilderness is, and will always be, precious and pure — able to enchant every person who desires to get in touch with it. “She”, our feminine, intuitive, and wild nature, wishes to share her wisdom, laugh, and play with us. In this way, she makes sure that our fast-paced world does not forget about her pristine side. She wants to live in unity with us.

I wish for a world that feels safe to step into the unknown, explore and be curious, intuitive, and balanced.
